North Baltimore Tigers vs Elmwood Royals

The North Baltimore Tigers played the Elmowood Royals and it was a battle right down to the finish with the Royals edging out the Tigers 12-8 when the final whistle was blown. The Royals improved their record to 2-1 with the win and did it largely on the shoulders of their senior running back, Luke Garner. Garner had 173 yards in the game on 26 carries. He also tacked a touchdown onto his stat line as well.

The longest play of the game was a 72 yard touchdown run by North Baltimore running back Dalton Ishmael. It was the highlight of the day offensively for both teams. It was largely a defensive battle with both teams gaining a large portion of their yards on the ground. North Baltimore had 139 yards and Elmwood had 147 yards rushing and the teams had 18 and 52 yards passing respectively as well.

One interesting fact about the game is that neither team managed to convert an extra point. There were three touchdowns scored in the game and all of the extra point attempts failed. North Baltimore scored 8 points because they got a safety during the fourth quarter after they pinned the Royals deep in their own territory. North Baltimore will face Mohawk next week.
